Isabella Yang Named on Forbes' 30 Under 30 List

Isabella (Yiran) Yang in Prof. Gao's research group is named one of Forbes' 2021 30 Under 30 List in Science.

Medical Engineering graduate student Isabella (Yiran) Yang was named one of Forbes' 30 Under 30 in Science for 2021. Isabella is a group member in Professor Wei Gao's lab where she develops wearable biosensors that monitor the signals produced when we sweat. Through these devices, researchers are able to track the body's risks for heart disease, diabetes, among other health problems. Recently she and her lab mates have adapted the sensors to detect Covid-19 antibodies in human saliva.
