The KNI hosts regular on-campus events. Check the Events Calendar for information on upcoming seminars and symposia. Additionally, the KNI team of technical experts presents ad-hoc educational lectures and workshops. Past classes have included SEM, HIM, and FIB techniques. Check back here for updates on new offerings for Winter/Spring 2024, including Etch Tech 2024 and a course on 2D/3D nanoarchitecture design and printing.
Regularly-occurring KNI social events include:
KNI Coffee Hours
KNI organizes coffee hours on a bi-monthly basis outside of Steele Laboratory. These informal afternoon events aim to foster a community gathering space where grad students, postdocs, staff and faculty can meet and discuss new ideas over caffeinated and non-caffeinated beverages and snacks.
KNI Summer Gathering
In mid-August the KNI hosts its annual summer gathering and poster session with catered food and beverages and desserts. The first half of the event is a poster session where KNI lab members can present on their own or their group's latest research, along with the cohort of KNI SURF-the-WAVE summer undergraduate fellows.
