The Kavli Foundation announces the appointment of Dr. Kevin Moses as Vice President of Science Programs.
The Kavli Foundation has announced that Dr. Kevin Moses will join as the new Vice President of Scientific Programs on December 1st. Dr. Moses is currently the Science Officer at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative in the Bay Area where he helped form its programs, partnerships and initiatives. Prior to that, Dr. Moses held leadership positions at the United Kingdom's largest charitable foundation, the Wellcome Trust, as well as the Janelia Research Campus of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. He received his Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Cambridge and went on to hold professorial positions at the University of Southern California and Emory University. His extensive leadership experience at global research and philanthropic institutions will play a key role in his new position at The Kavli Foundation, where he will oversee its core programs: astrophysics, nanoscience, neuroscience and theoretical physics, along with the 20 Kavli Institutes and its partnerships with various scientific societies and national science agencies.
