Jeong Hoon (JK) Ko is a member of Professor Robert (Bob) Grubbs' research group where he is developing "3D Photolithography by Ring-Opening Metathesis Polymerization Using Light-Activated Metathesis Catalyst." Through his research, he hopes to create new types of nanostructures that have diverse applications in flexible electronics, biosensors, and biohybrid materials.
JK received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from UCLA where he studied the synthesis and applications of trehalose polymers and ruthenium-cataliyzed polymerizations. He received his B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering and A.B. in Chemistry from Duke University.
In his free time, JK enjoys playing tennis, watching a Korean national sports team game, or checking out the great variety of restaurants in LA with his friends.
